The other day, a special premiere of Samantha’s Shaakuntalam was held in Hyderabad’s Prasads multiplex. The film is gearing up for a grand release this Friday in theatres. Director Gunasekhar, after a long gap of 8 long years, is back with this mythological drama. Shaakuntalam is being released as a PAN-Indian film.
The movie has completed its censor formalities and was awarded a U/A certificate. The other update is that the film is 142 minutes (2 hours and 22 minutes) long. Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is making his Tollywood debut with Shaakuntalam.
Melody Brahma Mani Sharma is composing the tunes. Gunasekhar’s daughter Neelima Guna bankrolled the movie under Gunaa Team Works. Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu, Sachin Khedekar, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Gautami played vital roles. Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha will be seen as Prince Bharatha.
