Tollywood has lost a famous lyricist Kandikonda Yadagiri, well known as Kandikonda. The renowned songwriter has been suffering from a serious illness for many months and took his last breath today. He was 49.
Born in Nagurlapalle village, Narsampet mandal, Warangal, Kandikonda made his debut as a lyricist in the industry with the popular song, “Malli Kooyave Guvva” from Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam. He wrote many hit songs like Gala Gala (Pokiri), Chupultho Guchi Guchi (Idiot), Madhurame (Satyam) and Jagadame (Pokiri).
His last song was penned for Srikanth’s Kothala Rayudu. Also, Kandikonda wrote many songs that represent the culture of Telangana.
Several Tollywood celebrities have been mourning the sudden demise of the lyricist and the last rites are expected to happen tomorrow. Keep watching this space for more updates.
