After scoring two back-to-back industry hits with Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to entertain the audiences once again with Dunki. This time, he collaborated with one of the finest talents in Indian cinema, Rajkumar Hirani. Audiences and fans have been waiting for this combo for a long time, but it materialized now.

According to Bollywood media reports, Dunki’s budget is just around 80 crores (excluding print and advertisement charges). This is quite surprising as the movie features one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema. Going into the details, both Jawan and Dunki are produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainments, and hence, the star actor is said to be charging his remuneration from the box office collections.

This isn’t anything new, as a few South stars like Chiranjeevi followed the same method in the past to control the production cost. Dunki is a social comedy-drama set in the rural heartland of India. If the film gets positive talk, then it will become one of the biggest hits in terms of ROI. Tapsee, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani played vital roles. Dunki will be open in cinemas on 21st December. Unlike Jawan and Pathaan, Dunki won’t be having a multi-lingual release.
