In a recent interview, producer Ashwini Dutt revealed the same. He said The Family Man was initially planned as a film under his production banner, Vyjayanthi Movies. But Megastar didn’t show interest in it back then.
As per Ashwini Dutt, Raj & DK were also ready to exclude the kids characters, but Chiru said no to it. It was also the time Chiru scored a solid hit with Khaidi No 150, and hence, he wasn’t ready to do it. Ultimately, the script was changed into a web show, and what happened then was history. Netizens are feeling that Chiranjeevi made a costly mistake by rejecting such a good script.
