Salaar is the second release for PAN India star Prabhas this year after Adipurush. Prabhas joining forces with Neel has piqued the curiosity of fans and movie buffs. The movie was scheduled to release on 28th September, but for various reasons, it was postponed to 22nd December.

In an interview, Prashanth Neel revealed that the shooting of Salaar lasted for 114 days. For a film of this scale, this is less, and effective planning by the team ensured the quick completion of production. More time was spent on post-production work. Neel further revealed that most of the shoot happened in Ramoji Film City.

A few portions are shot in Singareni mines, Vizag, and Mangalore ports. A small part of the film was shot in Europe, as informed by Neel. The movie will have just two songs, as per reports. Ravi Basrur composed the tunes. Shruti Haasan played the leading lady, while Prithviraj Sukumaran is in for another key role.
