Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2026. Advance bookings across Nizam opened today, and preparations are underway for the Telugu pre release event tomorrow. The grand promotional event will take place at Shipa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad with several key cast and crew members in attendance.
In an unexpected turn that has left Telugu fans stunned, Superstar Rajinikanth will skip the function entirely. The production team has not revealed any official reason for his absence, taking much of the spotlight away from the promotional gathering.
Anirudh is set to deliver a live musical performance during the evening to energize attendees. Director Nelson Dilipkumar, producer S Naga Vamsi, and music composer Anirudh Ravichander will take center stage alongside cast members SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Mirnaa Menon.
Produced by Sun Pictures, the film features appearances by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Hrithik Roshan, Nora Fatehi, and Poorna. It remains to be seen how tomorrow’s event impacts ticket movement across the Telugu states ahead of release day.
