New age filmmaker director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next is with Superstar Rajinikanth, and the project is tentatively titled Thalaivar 171. According to a Bollywood media report, Lokesh Kanagaraj approached Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan for a special role in this film, and the star actor is said to have turned down the offer.

“Shah Rukh Khan liked the subject but kindly said no to the role. He is already doing a special role in his daughter Suhana Khan’s debut film (theatrical debut), which will directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Very recently, SRK made cameo appearances in Tiger 3 and Brahmastra. Hence, the superstar decided not to do more special roles further,” stated the report.

It was further stated that SRK expressed interest in doing a separate film with the Vikram director. We need to see which actor would play that special role now. The project will be mounted on a massive scale by Sun Pictures, and Anirudh Ravichander is roped in as the music director.
