After the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Nimrat Kaur, and Deepika Padukone, Shruti Haasan has now bagged a Hollywood project. The actress will play the role of an assassin in an upcoming TV series, Treadstone, which is a knock off of the Jason Bourne series.

Apparently, the actress was in London, where she was pursuing her musical career when she got a call to audition for the role in the TV series. “By the time I was confirmed for the role, I was in Chennai. When I told my father (Kamal Haasan) about it, all he said was “good job”. He normally tells other people that he is proud of me, but he doesn’t tell me anything like a typical Indian dad,” Shruti revealed what her father’s reaction was about her Hollywood project.

Since she is going to play an undercover agent, who works as a waitress, Shruti will be undergoing intense training to prepare for the role. On the movie front, she will soon be seen in a Tamil film, Laabham, and the actress is also reportedly in talks for a Telugu film.
