The upcoming movie Sing-Geetham is an exciting, unique musical fantasy from the 94-year-old veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. Presented by the famous Vyjayanthi Movies banner, the film features a fresh and talented main cast including Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi.

Before its worldwide release on June 11, the movie team held a big pre-release event in Chennai. The legendary actor Kamal Haasan attended the event as the chief guest and shared some amazing old memories about the director.

During his speech, Kamal Haasan looked back at his long friendship with the director and shared a secret from 47 years ago. He revealed that right after an award function, Singeetham had told him two unique movie ideas.

The first story was called Advaitha, and the second was Sing-Geetham. While Advaitha eventually became the famous 1987 silent movie Pushpaka Vimanam, the second script was put on hold for decades.

This means Sing-Geetham was originally supposed to star Kamal Haasan himself when he was young. Even though many years have passed and a new generation of actors is doing the film now, the core story remains exactly the same.

This fascinating history has made everyone very curious about the film. It perfectly proves what Kamal Haasan said at the event: “some stories are truly ageless.” With music by Devi Sri Prasad and produced by Nag Ashwin, this movie is a great example of a timeless idea finally coming alive.
