Talented director-turned-actor Tharun Bhascker is all set to entertain in a distinct role in the upcoming quirky rural entertainer Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi. Eesha Rebba plays the female lead. Directed by debutant A R Sajeev, the film has already grabbed attention with its rustic setting and refreshing premise, unveiled through its teaser.
Amping up promotions, the makers have unveiled the first single, Sinnari Kona, a soulful melody that traces the emotional journey of a bride as she leaves her parental home and embraces a new chapter in life. The song poignantly captures the blend of nervousness, fear, and quiet optimism that defines this intimate transition.
Composed by Jay Krishna, Sinnari Kona stands out with its soothing composition and gentle rhythm that strikes an instant chord. Bharadwaj Gali’s heartfelt lyrics lend emotional richness, subtly expressing the bride’s inner turmoil and unspoken emotions. The vocals by Jay Krishna, Ananya Bhatt, and MG Narasimha further elevate the song with warmth and sincerity.
Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba appear in contrasting roles, beautifully conveying the nuanced emotions of a newlywed couple. Eesha Rebba, in particular, impresses with her portrayal of a young bride’s vulnerability and grace as she adapts to her new environment, while Tharun Bhascker’s role hints at an intriguing and distinct characterization.
Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi is scheduled for a Republic Day weekend release on January 23rd.
