Nani’s The Paradise has been receiving mixed reactions from a section of audiences and critics, but Nizam distributor Shashi has revealed a very different picture from the theatres. Speaking about the film’s theatrical response in the post-release interview, he highlighted the massive footfalls, advance bookings and audience frenzy witnessed during the opening weekend.
According to Shashi, The Paradise recorded 8,22,134 admissions on day 1 in Nizam across nearly 2,970 shows. He also revealed that almost every screen and multiplex was running at 100% occupancy from Thursday through Sunday.
Popular Hyderabad theatres such as Mythri Vimal and Mythri Shiva Ganga were completely sold out, with not a single ticket remaining. The demand was equally intense in single-screen centres such as Godavarikhani, where even arranging family tickets became difficult.
Shashi also spoke about the unusual celebrations inside theatres. He recalled audiences, including women, leaving their seats and rushing towards the stage to dance during the first-day shows. According to him, such celebrations are more commonly associated with re-releases of popular star films than the release of a brand-new movie.
He further highlighted the film’s theatrical highs, saying he could count around 12 to 15 such moments in the film, including the jail portions and mass songs. His comments offer a glimpse into the response The Paradise is receiving on the ground, despite the divided conversation surrounding the film online.
With strong occupancy, packed shows and intense audience celebrations, The Paradise is continuing to maintain a solid theatrical presence in Nizam.
