Star actor Jr NTR, well known as Tarak, has completed 25 years in Telugu Film Industry. He made his debut as a child actor with Ramayanam, released on this date in 1997. Today marks the 25th anniversary of the film.
Legendary producer Mallemala Sundara Rami Reddy ( MS Reddy ) garu introduced Jr NTR to the world of Telugu cinema. Famous director Gunasekhar wielded the megaphone for this mythological drama which showcased Tarak as Lord Shriram.
The film gained huge appreciation from the audiences, for the wonderful performances of Tarak and other child actors. The film also bagged two Nandi Awards – The Best Children Film (Gold) and The Best Child Actress (Swathi as Ravana) in 1998.
Having more than 3000 children, Ramayanam was produced under the Shabdhalaya Theaters banner. Madhavapeddi Suresh composed soothing tracks while L Vaidyanathan gave the background score. Sekhar V Joseph cranked the camera for this epic movie.
