Spider-Man: Brand New Day did the unthinkable at the domestic box office. After registering the biggest opening day, the superhero film has now emerged as the all-time biggest first-weekend grosser with $360 million in the domestic market.

Even though estimates suggested that the film would fall marginally short of Avengers: Endgame ($357.1 million), the Sunday collections held much better than industry projections, resulting in the biggest opening weekend ever for a film.

Only these films have crossed the $300 million mark in their first weekends. The movies in the third and fourth positions are nearly $100 million behind Spider-Man and Endgame. That’s the level of box office havoc created by these two flicks. The worldwide haul of Spider-Man in three days stands at $932 million, compared to Avengers: Endgame’s $1.2 billion.
