Rajinikanth’s previous outing, Vettaiyan, didn’t meet expectations and ended up as a box-office flop. The legendary actor will be next seen in Coolie, which marks his first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Coolie is a standalone film and doesn’t have any connection with LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe).
According to the buzz in Kollywood circles, Pooja Hegde is expected to be part of a special dance number in Coolie composed by Anirudh Ravichander. If the rumors turn out to be true, this will be Pooja’s third special dance number after ‘Jigelu Rani’ in Rangasthalam and ‘Life Ante Itta Undala’ in F3. An official confirmation is yet to be made by Sun Pictures.
According to recent reports, Coolie’s release date has been shifted from May 2025 to August 2025. It seems the team is eying the Independence Day weekend as the stakes involved are massive. Upendra, Nagarjuna, Satyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir are part of this much-anticipated flick. Aamir Khan is said to be playing a cameo.
