Kollywood star Suriya’s next theatrical appearance will be in Karuppu, a rural action entertainer directed by RJ Balaji. The film is expected to hit the big screens on April 10, 2026, during the summer season.
According to the latest buzz in Kollywood circles, the actor is expected to join hands with director Mari Selvaraj for his 50th film. Mari Selvaraj’s movies largely revolve around strong social themes and issues of oppression. It is being said that the project will be mounted on a massive scale.
The film is likely to be bankrolled by Thanu. Currently, both the actor and the director are busy with their respective commitments. Suriya is participating in the shoot of his 46th film, directed by Venky Atluri. On the other hand, Mari Selvaraj has projects lined up with Dhanush, Karthi, and Inban Udhayanidhi.
