Project K is one of the highly anticipated films from Telugu starring PAN Indian star Prabhas which is in the production phase as of now. This science fiction film has Deepika Padukone as the female lead.
In a recent interview, the film producer Ashwani Dutt revealed that the film director Nag Ashwin opted to cast Mrunal Thakur opposite Prabhas for Project K initially. After Nag Ashwin heard the storyline of Sita Ramam, he suggested the Sita Ramam team to cast Mrunal for the Sita role as she would be the perfect choice for it.
Hanu Raghavapudi was so happy to have a fresh face for the said role. Hence Nag Ashwin roped in Deepika Padukone as the leading lady in this high-budget project.
