Shah Rukh Khan can heave a huge sigh a relief. His upcoming magnum opus Ra.One was screened at Yash Raj Film Studios, Mumbai to an exclusive audience including SRK, Anubhav Sinha, his wife Gauri, Karan Johar, Arjun Rampa and Yash Chopra were present for the private screening. The first reaction of the audience is said to be extremely positive.
A leading Bollywood website reported that some claimed that Iron Man’s visual effects are ‘nothing’ infront of Ra.One’s visual effects! While it’s not clear how much SRK and Eros International spent on making the film, but if this is the reaction from the audience then it’s a huge achievement. The news report also suggests that a lot of people were stunned by the film’s dazzling visual effects and also the drama between father and his son.
As soon as the film got over, Karan Johar, SRK and few others tweeted their reactions about the film and they all had one thing to say – Mega Blockbuster. Trade pundits are predicting that Ra.One will collect a nett of close to Rs 100-110 crores in first five days and if the film collects the predicted amount, then it’ll break the record set by Salman Khan’s Bodyguard. In India alone, the film is going to release in about 3500 screens in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
Keeping SRK’s huge popularity abroad, the film is going to release in more than 900 theatres across the world. Although SRK has been promoting the film at every possible medium of communication ranging from TV, internet, newspaper and outdoor campaign, Rajinikanth’s cameo in the film has got people interested down South.
Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice for a scene. Anubhav Sinha has directed the film and Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor are playing the lead roles. The film will hit the screens on October 26.
