Recently, there were several reports that Tamil superstar Suriya has been roped in to play Gemini Ganesan, husband of legendary heroine Savithri, in the much-awaited biopic Mahanati.
Just when the news started to gain steam came in the much needed clarification. Rajasekar Pandian, Director & Co-Producer of Suriya’s production house 2D Entertainment, clarified that Suriya is not acting in Mahanati and that the reports are baseless.
Incidentally, Mahanati will be simultaneously made in Tamil as Nadigaiyar Thilagam. The film stars Keerthy Suresh as Savithri, with Samantha playing a crucial role.
