Tamil star Suriya has made a thunderous comeback with Karuppu, which released in theatres two days ago. The film arrived in Telugu as Veerabhadrudu and has opened to a sensational response from audiences across regions. Directed by RJ Balaji, this rural mass action drama features Trisha Krishnan as the female lead.
The film is rewriting records at the box office. Karuppu has reportedly crossed a massive 1.5 million ticket sales on BookMyShow within just two days, registering the highest-ever numbers in Suriya’s career on the platform. What makes the achievement even more impressive is the strong growth in collections on day two, which are said to be considerably higher than the opening day figures.
Trade circles are now eagerly watching the third-day performance, with expectations soaring for another huge jump in numbers. The film’s roaring word of mouth and packed shows are turning it into one of the biggest successes in Suriya’s recent career.
Apart from Suriya and Trisha, the movie also stars RJ Balaji, Swasika, and Indrans in pivotal roles. Backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film features a powerful soundtrack composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
