Kollywood star Suriya and star heroine Pooja Hegde will next be seen in the highly anticipated romantic action drama, Retro. The film is being directed by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. The film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025.
The first two songs from Retro’s audio album, composed by Santhosh Narayanan, received a thumping response from fans. The makers today revealed that Retro’s third song, titled ‘The One,’ will be released tomorrow. The song is sung by Sid Sriram, with rap by Shan Vincent, and penned by lyricist Vivek.
In a latest interview, Karthik Subbaraj cleared the big misconception that Retro is a gangster drama. “Retro is not a gangster film. There’s a cute love story and intense emotions between Suriya and Pooja Hegde. The title teaser dialogue is the essence of Retro,” he revealed. Retro is being produced under Suriya’s 2D Entertainment in association with Karthik Subbaraj.
