Kollywood star Suriya’s critically acclaimed biopic, Soorarai Pottru, had its digital OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year. The film’s audio album was composed by young Tamil music director GV Prakash Kumar.
Now, one of the film’s songs ‘Kayilae Aagasam’ is back in the news following a recent post by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan on his Tumblr page. “A Tamil song from a Surya film.. Surya the super star of the South .. the moment is heart breaking in the film as can be seen in the video, but yesterday it was put in a different context .. more real .. and it has made it simply uncontrollable for me stop the tears..it bears the feel of emotion between a Father and Son,” tweeted the Big B.
Kayilae Aagasam was sung by talented Tamil playback singer and GV Prakash Kumar’s wife Saindhavia and penned by acclaimed lyricist Yugabharathi. This Sudha Kongara directorial will soon be remade in Bollywood.
