Roshan Meka’s Champion, directed by National Award winner Pradeep Advaitham, hit the big screens yesterday. Mollywood actress Anaswara Rajan made her Tollywood debut with this flick. Champion is produced by Priyanka Dutt, GK Mohan, and Gemini Kiran under Swapna Cinema, Anandi Art Creations, and Concept Films, with Zee Studios presenting it.
Today, the makers held a success meet in Hyderabad. At the event, Swapna Dutt said, “It’s been 50 years since Vyjayanthi Films was started. Also, it’s been almost 25 years since Swapna Cinema was established. These two banners never made easy films, and it has always been an uphill task. Every time we strive hard to offer a solid experience to the audience.”
She added, “Satisfaction is more important for us. Actors of Champion did a wonderful job. Pradeep told me this story during Sita Ramam. Initially, I felt Roshan might be too young to play Michael, but he was the right fit. He dedicated his prime time to Champion and didn’t do any other film despite the project facing delays.”
“Anaswara Rajan is here to stay. Micky’s music helped the film get a strong opening. I thank Kalyan Chakravarthy sir, for being part of the film. Madhie sir and Chanti sir displayed extreme dedication. Audiences owned and embraced Champion, and we will be indebted to them always. I extend my thanks to the media for the constant support,” Swapna Dutt remarked.
