Young talent Nikhil Siddhartha’s upcoming film Swayambhu is the most expensive project of his career so far. Announced three years ago, this period war action drama unveiled its teaser today.
The film is directed by debutant Bharat Krishnamachari. The teaser was screened in 3D for a select audience, while the official version was released in 2D on YouTube.
The teaser opens with the concealment of the Sengol, a sacred historical emblem believed to have been bestowed by Lord Shiva upon Lord Rama and later passed down to his lineage. The narrative then shifts to a dynasty where the emblem falls into enemy hands, but its exact whereabouts remain unknown despite their efforts.
The protagonist steps in to protect it and defend the people from the rival kingdom. The rest of the story will unfold on the big screen. The teaser features well-staged action blocks and impactful war scenes. Nikhil’s physical transformation and effort for the role are clearly noticeable. The background score adds intensity and supports the visuals effectively.
Mounted on a grand scale with a high budget, the film has generated strong buzz among moviegoers. It is slated for a theatrical release on April 10, 2026, in eight languages, including select international versions.
The film stars Nabha Natesh and Samyuktha as the female leads, with Sunil, Ajay, and others in key supporting roles. The project is produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the Pixel Studios banner.
