Taapsee’s career graph has been soaring higher and higher, especially after she played one of the lead roles in Pink. Since then, she has been part of several acclaimed films like Badla, Mulk, Manmarziyan, Saand Ki Aankh, Game Over and several other Hindi films. And she is making all the right noise in the awards circuit too.
The actress bagged her first ever Filmfare award recently at a glitzy ceremony held in Guwahati, Assam, and that too for one of the most special films in her career, Saand Ki Aankh. After she won the Best Actress (Critics) award, along with her co-star Bhumi Pednekar, Taapsee said, “Together in it…from the long reading sessions, workshops, the intense long hours for getting ready for the shoot, and longer hours living under those prosthetics and now, standing together to celebrate what might be the most special film in our careers. Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar will continue to live in us forever.”
Meanwhile, all eyes are on her upcoming film, Thappad, which focuses on the emotional turmoil that a married woman goes through after she is slapped by her husband, and there’s also, the biopic of cricketer Mithali Raj in the making.
