Taapsee is one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood these days, and she has become the numero uno choice for hard-hitting new age films. However, she was in for a major shock when a news report claimed that she turned down a project because she wasn’t too keen on being paired with acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddique.

The film is said to be a murder mystery, starring Nawazuddin, and Honey Trehan is going to direct it. Commenting on the news report, Taapsee said that it was a baseless rumour and that she was never in talks for any such project in first place. “Irresponsible journalism at its best yet another time. Wish u have basic courtesy to contact the people concerned to know the truth before exploiting the power of your pen. #NotCool #SadStateOfAffairs,” the actress posted on Twitter.

The fight, however, didn’t end there. When the reporter retorted that her PR team is the reason behind the article, Taapsee demanded that he back his claims with some proof and cross check with her personally next time about her career. We’ll have to wait and see if there is any truth in these rumours. The actress is currently awaiting the release of her courtroom drama Mulk.
