Chandoo Mondeti is a talented director but failed with the film Savyasachi that had Chay Akkineni as the main lead. The film was a big flop and many said the result dampened the friendship between Chay and Chandoo.
Speaking in an interview, Chandoo said that the result of the film did not affect his friendship with Chay at all and in fact, Chay called and wished him the best for Karthikeya 2.
Chandoo was the one who gave Chay his biggest hits in the form of Premam.
