The entire Tamil film fraternity is going to pay a mega tribute to Ilayaraja on the occasion of the legendary music composer turning 75. Ilayaraja was born on June 2, 1943 and he turned 75 this year.
The Tamil Film Producer’s Council will hold a grand musical night named Ilayaraja75 in Chennai on the 2nd and 3rd February, 2019. Almost all the top Kollywood stars will be attending the event. All the shootings will be cancelled on those two days as a mark of respect.
In a career spanning over 5 decades, Ilayaraja composed memorable soundtracks for more than 1,000 movies. He is a 5-time recepient of the National Film Award and is also a Padma Bhushan awardee.
