The Telugu Film Directors Association elections were held today in the Telugu Film Chamber, Hyderabad, and the results are out now. The election saw a turnout of 1113 voters. Director Veera Shankar’s panel registered victory in the elections with a thumping margin.
Veera Shankar, who contested as President, won against his opponent, Samudhra, with a majority of 232 votes. Directors Sai Rajesh and Vassishta were elected as the Vice-Presidents. Sai Rajesh secured 576 votes, while Vassishta secured 355 votes.
There was a thrilling contest for the General Secretary position. Subbareddy (396 votes) won against Maddhineni Ramesh (394 votes) with two votes majority.
Vaddanam Ramesh and Kasturi Srinivas were elected as the Joint Secretaries, earning 436 and 374 votes respectively. Priyadarshi (503 votes) and Vamsi Krishna (322 votes) will be the Organizing Secretaries. With a majority of 215 votes, P.V. Ramarao won as the treasurer.
