Telugu Movies edged out Tamil films to claim the No. 2 spot (no. of films produced) as per the latest CBFC Report that lists out the number of films produced in each language. As per the 2011 report, Bollywood produced the most number of movies in the country – 206, to claim the No.1 spot. The Telugu Film Industry produced 192 films while the Tamil industry produced 185 films.
In 2010, Tamil films took the No. 2 spot with 202 films while only 181 Telugu movies were made.
