Director Sandeep Vanga Reddy has a newfound fame countrywide, given the fact that his Bollywood debut Kabir Singh earned over Rs 275 crore. It might have received a lot of flak and criticism, however that didn’t affect box office records and the film became a gamechanger.

Which is why the producers of Kabir Singh announced their next film with him almost immediately.

However, while Ranbir Kapoor was in talks for the role of the protagonist in this film titled Devil, reports suggest that though he said yes to the film initially, he later refused to be a part of the project.

But his refusal has turned out to be someone else’s gain and it happens to be none other than Prabhas. Sources say that Sandeep had narrated the story to Prabhas and he quite liked it. With the Telugu superstar already being a well-known name throughout the country after Baahubali and Saaho, his reach and market is close to none!

Mythri Movie Makers will reportedly be co-producing this film with T Series.

Saaho may not have worked in Telugu but it did make money in Hindi; and that’s all because of the popularity Prabhas enjoys in every section of the nation. He would be looking to cement that position with Sandeep’s next.
