Last year, Karthi came up with a village drama named Viruman. The film did decent business in Tamilnadu. But the Telugu fans of Karthi got immensely disappointed since the movie didn’t release in Telugu. This was a strange move from makers considering the Telugu market of Karthi.
After a while, the film’s Telugu version, titled Palasapoodi Veerababu, premiered on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. The latest to be known is that the Telugu version will have its world television premiere on June 18th at 1 PM on the Star Maa channel. Director Shankar’s daughter Aditi Shankar made her debut with the film.
Viruman is produced by Suriya under the 2D Entertainment banner and directed by Muthaiah. Prakash Raj, Saranya, Rajkiran, Soori, Karunas, and others played vital roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the tunes.
