The latest Kollywood small-budget film, Lubber Pandhu, emerged as a dark horse at the ticket windows. The movie, headlined by Harish Kalyan and Dinesh, has till now collected about Rs. 33 crores in Tamil Nadu and has become a solid blockbuster. The movie went from strength to strength with each passing day. In international markets too, Lubber Pandhu had a good run.
Despite the release of Superstar’s Vettaiyan, this sports drama was allotted a decent number of screens for this weekend. According to the latest buzz in Tamil film circles, Lubber Pandhu is expected to arrive on OTT on October 18. Disney Plus Hotstar holds the post-theatrical streaming rights of this flick. An official announcement is expected to come out soon.
Directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, the movie also stars Swasika, Sanjana, Kaali Venkat, Devadarshini, and Bala Saravanan in crucial roles. S. Lakshman Kumar and A. Venkatesh produced Lubber Pandhu under the banner of Prince Pictures. Sean Roldan composed the tunes.
