Censor hurdles continue for Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, with no tentative release date in sight. Recently, the Censor Board filed a caveat petition in the Supreme Court, requesting the apex court not to pass any orders without hearing its arguments, in case the producers file an appeal.
It has been almost a month since the issue began, and Vijay remained tight-lipped until now, worrying fans. Finally, in an interview with NDTV, Vijay opened up about the ongoing hurdle. He said, “I feel bad for my producer as Jana Nayagan is suffering because of my political entry. I was mentally prepared for this and was aware that my film would be affected due to my political entry.”
Made on a massive budget of Rs. 500 crores, the film is backed by KVN Productions. It remains to be seen when the issues will be sorted out. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead in this political action drama, while Mamitha Baiju and Bobby Deol appear in vital roles.
