Thandel, headlined by Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, is up for a grand release tomorrow. The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is produced by Bunny Vas and presented by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts. The makers spent Rs. 90 crores on this project, the highest for a Naga Chaitanya starrer. Except for the Ceded and Nellore regions, the makers opted for an own release.
During the pre-release press meet, Allu Aravind was asked to comment on the same. The ace producer said, “Generally, we sell the rights of those regions where we don’t have control. Irrespective of whether a film makes a profit or loss, we don’t tend to sell the rights. This is Geetha Arts’ policy. It is important that we must believe in our own product.”
The senior filmmaker added, “We have put our heart, blood, and sweat into Thandel. The budget exceeded our expectations, and Bunny Vas proposed selling the rights of a few territories so that we could be in a safe zone. But I said no after watching the film. I am very confident that we will score a superhit with Thandel.”
