During the release of The Kerala Story, there was a good buzz, but none expected the film to perform in this range. The Adah Sharma starrer seems not to slow down at the box office anytime soon.
On Tuesday, the film added another 9 crores nett taking the total collections to 156 crores nett. The movie has overtaken Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar to become the second-highest Hindi grosser of 2023. The Kerala Story is only next to the all-time blockbuster Pathaan this year.
As per the trade, the current top five Bollywood films in 2023 are Pathaan, The Kerala Story, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Bholaa. At this speed, The Kerala Story is expected to breach the 250 crores mark. Sudipto Sen directed The Kerala Story, and it stars Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Devadarshini, and Vijay Krishna in other key roles.
