The Raja Saab had its premiere shows in theatres last night and opened worldwide with morning shows today as a Sankranti release. Headlined by Prabhas, the horror fantasy is directed by Maruthi and features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar as the female leads.
The film has opened to mixed reviews, with a section of the audience expressing disappointment over the gap between promotions and the final cut. A major point of discussion is the absence of Prabhas’ old-man look, which was prominently highlighted during promotions but does not appear in the theatrical version.
In a recent interview, producer TG Vishwa Prasad revealed that around five minutes of additional footage will be added during the Sankranti run. Fans believe this could include the missing look and have urged the makers to incorporate it sooner. The decision, however, rests with the production house.
Apart from the leads, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Samuthirakani, Sapthagiri, Satya, and VTV Ganesh in key roles. The Raja Saab is produced by People Media Factory, with music composed by Thaman.
