Teja Sajja, one of the young Tollywood actors, scored a blockbuster success with the superhero movie Hanu-Man, released in January 2024. In April 2024, his next pan-world movie Mirai was officially announced.
Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, the movie was initially set for April 18, 2025, as its release date. The movie team explained that the early announcement was to avoid clashes with other films.
However, The Raja Saab, featuring pan-Indian actor Prabhas, is now confirmed for release in multiple languages on April 10, 2025, posing a threat to Mirai. It is evident that Mirai might get overshadowed by the buzz surrounding The Raja Saab. Interestingly, both movies are produced by People Media Factory.
Given the announcement of the release date for the Prabhas starrer, it’s clear that Mirai will be pushed back. This renders the team’s early release date announcement moot. The shooting for Mirai is currently underway, and it remains to be seen what new plans the production house will make for the film.
