Ramayana is India’s next big spectacle, scheduled to release on November 6, 2026. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in key roles.
In a recent interview, Chetan Hansraj revealed that he is playing seven characters in the epic. One of them is Raja Mali, the maternal grandfather of Ravana, played by Yash. Hansraj also revealed that his scenes with Yash are among the highlights of his experience on the film.
Apart from Raja Mali, Hansraj has performed six additional characters through motion capture. These roles are separate from his principal character and will be created or enhanced digitally using his performances.
With Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, Ramayana is being made on a massive scale. Hansraj’s unusual seven-character contribution adds another interesting detail to the much-awaited epic. The film is planned as a two-part adaptation of the Indian epic and features a massive ensemble cast.
