Netflix has been trying different ways to promote its brand in the Indian context. As part of it, the streaming platform is now collaborating with the very successful director duo Raj and DK who helmed the famous Family Man series.
According to the deal, the director duo will develop and produce content under their D2R Films banner for the streaming platform. Monika Shergill, the Vice-President of Netflix content said that they are really excited to tie up with Raj and DK.
Netflix India is hoping to make big with this collaboration. Raj and DK have mastered the art of storytelling and they have directed the content of varied genres in a quirky style.
This would be a multi-year creative partnership and the first show in this joint venture would be Guns and Gulaabs starring Rajkummar Rao and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead roles.
