Shahid Kapoor is one of the most bankable stars in Hindi cinema. He has come up the hard way and is busy with multiple films in his kitty as of now in Hindi cinema.
But not many know that he was the first choice to play Siddharth’s role in Range De Basanti. Speaking in an interview, Shahid revealed that he was offered the role first but he rejected it.
Shahid adds that he repented a lot after watching the film on the big screens. He also states that more than missing the film, he lost out on a golden opportunity to work with the likes of Aamir Khan.
Range De Basanti is a National Award-winning film that was directed by Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra and was a rage at the box office.
