Ponniyin Selvan has crossed all hurdles and finally hitting the screens this September 30th. This is Mani Ratnam’s dream project and the director has put in a lot of effort to bring this visual spectacle to the big screens. It will be a dream for any artist to work under such a director.
Hot beauty Amala Paul has reportedly turned down working with Mani Ratnam for this mega-budget period film. In an interview, she stated that she missed the film not once but twice. After auditioning her for the first time, the film didn’t go on to the sets.
Again in his next attempt, Mani Ratnam is said to have approached the actress but she denied the offer kindly as she was not well mentally ready to do the role. She further stated that she doesn’t regret not doing it and added that few things work that way.
