Ponniyin Selvan part 1 is locked to hit the screens this September 30th in multiple languages. The movie team is planning to promote the film in a big way. Already the theatrical trailer was launched and it received a good response in all languages.
In one of the interactions with the press, the director Mani Ratnam himself stated that part 2 of the film will be coming out after six to nine months from the release of the first part. This is indeed a piece of great news for all the movie fans and they need not wait any longer for the sequel.
Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi played important roles in this period that is made to show the regime of Cholas. Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies jointly bankrolled the film. AR Rahman gave the music. The film is based on the novel with same name written by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
