Kollywood hero Sivakarthikeyan and star director AR Murugadoss joined hands for an action drama tentatively titled SK23. The announcement came as a surprise to fans as Rukmini Vasanth was cast as the female lead. For the past few days, there were reports that Sita Ramam beauty Mrunal Thakur will essay the female lead.
In a recent interview, AR Murugadoss revealed why he chose Rukmini Vasanth over Mrunal Thakur. The star director stated, “We needed someone who looks like a practical young woman. I saw her (Rukmini) films and found her personality to be closer to the role that I had written.”
Well, Sapta Saagaradaache Ello has indeed brought Rukmini Vasanth into the limelight, and she has now grabbed a massive opportunity in the form of SK23. Let’s see how her Kollywood debut turns out to be.
