In a surprising revelation, it has come to light that Nihar Kapoor, son of legendary actress Jayasudha, was the first choice to play Rana Daggubati’s role of Bhallaladeva in Baahubali.
Speaking in an interview, Nihar reveals that he even underwent training for the film, but when Rana rejoined the project, Rasjamouli offered the Kalakeya character instead.
However, the young actor refused the role, believing it wasn’t right for him as the makeup was loud and his face was fully covered with prosthetics.
Though the actor does not have any regrets, the part could have given his career a significant boost. Despite missing this golden opportunity, Nihar remains hopeful about future projects.
