We have reported how South films missed making huge moolah in the Hindi belt due to shorter OTT windows. For the unversed, the Hindi version of those films, which don’t have a gap of at least eight weeks between their theatrical and OTT release, won’t be exhibited in the multiplex chains. The Hindi versions of Jailer, Virupaksha, Kushi, Dasara, and Vikram weren’t screened in multiplexes as these films didn’t adhere to the mentioned OTT window gap.
Ravi Teja and Tiger Nageswara Rao team has flown down to Mumbai to attend the trailer launch event of the PAN Indian film Tiger Nageswara Rao. The film, directed by Vamsee, has very good buzz among the audience and the trailer helped in boosting the buzz. At the event, the producer Abhishek Agarwal was asked if Tiger Nageswara Rao releases in multiplexes.
The producer said the Ravi Teja starrer would be released in multiplex chains and clarified that there would absolutely be no issues. It means that Tiger Nageswara Rao won’t be arriving anytime soon on OTT after the film releases in theatres. If the movie is good, it has a chance to earn decent revenue in the Hindi market. Also, a long OTT window gap encourages audiences to come to the theatres. Tiger Nageswara Rao releases on October 20, 2023.
