Telugu cinema has been on a rampant run in the pan Indian market with blockbusters like RRR and Pushpa. The Telugu OTT space is exciting now, with interest from Amazon Prime and Netflix.
The latest we hear is that another top OTT platform, Jio Cinema is on the mission of expanding their Telugu OTT library.
As of now, Jio Cinema’s Telugu slate is very weak. Now it is heard that the OTT giant sees Tollywood a primal source for entertainment in the Indian OTT space.
And in accordance, Jio Cinema will be investing heavily in the Telugu OTT titles. They are likely to acquire the OTT rights of a handful of Telugu titles in the due course.
