Producer Anil Sunkara is all set to start an exciting project. It will be an international film based on the life the “Missile Man Of India”, Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. Tentatively titled ‘Dr.Abdul Kalam’, this film will be shot in English and will be released internationally.

It will be produced under Dream Merchants banner and Abhishek Aggarwal will co-produce it. The pre-production work is underway and the principal shooting commences in March.

To those who think the film will be just a biopic based on the writings of Abdul Kalam like ‘The Wings Of Fire’, it is much more than that. Anil Sunkara says that half of the film will be about Kalam’s early life based on his and others’ writings. The other half will be all about how US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) failed to detect India’s nuclear strategy, all because of the efforts of one man,Kalam.

We know the man’s journey from a poor family to the head of India’s successful nuclear program to the president of India. But this project which also focuses on how Kalam managed to keep India’s nuclear strategy under wraps though one of the most powerful Intelligence agencies in the world, CIA, was trying to detect it, would be much more intriguing. The cast and crew details of the film will be announced soon.
