According to the Mollywood media reports, a Dubai-based Indian businessman has filed a petition in the Kerala High Court against the film’s producers, Noufal Ahmed and Brijesh Muhammed. He has alleged that he was defrauded of around Rs. 14 crore and claimed that the film was made using those funds. These claims are part of the petition and have not been proven in court.
The High Court has taken up the matter, issued notices to the producers, and scheduled a hearing. The petitioner has also sought an investigation by central agencies. As of now, there has been no official response from the film’s team.
Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, Pallichattambi is set in the late 1950s and focuses on migrant farming communities in Kerala’s high ranges.
