Following the release of Toxic, several rumours surfaced online claiming that Yash was unhappy with director Geetu Mohandas’ work and had stepped in to ghost-direct portions of the film.
Some reports even suggested that crucial sequences were reshot under Yash’s supervision, leading many viewers to hold him responsible for the film’s disappointing reception.
However, actor Akshay Oberoi, who played a key role in the film, has now dismissed those claims. In a recent interview, he stated that he never witnessed anything of that sort during production.
Akshay clarified that he was directed only by Geetu Mohandas throughout the shoot. He added that audiences are free to express their opinions about the film, but from his experience on set, Geetu remained firmly in charge and directed the film.
