Toxic has already had a disappointing theatrical run, and Yash fans now have another reason to wait for the film. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film went through multiple delays before finally hitting the screens in August, but failed to make the expected impact at the box office.
The film was widely expected to arrive on OTT in the last week of September, with ZEE5 tipped to stream it. However, the latest October slate announced by the platform does not feature Toxic, making it clear that the film will not be getting its digital premiere in October either.
This comes as a disappointment for fans who were waiting to revisit the film on OTT, as well as those who missed its theatrical run and were hoping to finally watch it digitally. With the film missing from both the September and October plans, the wait for its OTT release continues.
Toxic stars Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. Backed by KVN Productions on a large scale, the film has music by Ravi Basrur. The makers are yet to announce a new OTT release date.
